INFRARED SAUNA & RED LIGHT BENEFITS

Infrared Sauna and Red Light Benefits

Sauna and Red Light Therapy are supported by hundreds of studies demonstrating their ability to boost energy, enhance detoxification, rejuvenate the skin, relieve pain, reduce stress, & lower inflammation.

WHY?

The primary reasons these therapies offer so many science-backed benefits are their ability to increase cellular energy, improve circulation, and support detoxification.

THEY INCREASE CELLULAR ENERGY

Both infrared and red light stimulate the mitochondria—the energy powerhouses of our cells—to produce more ATP (adenosine triphosphate). More ATP means more energy for your body to repair, regenerate, and function optimally.

They also promote mitochondrial biogenesis—the creation of new mitochondria—and support the formation of Exclusion Zone (EZ) water, further enhancing cellular function and vitality.

THEY IMPROVE CIRCULATION AND DETOXIFICATION

Infrared heat increases blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients deep into tissues while also promoting sweat and lymphatic drainage. This helps the body detoxify, reduce inflammation, and heal faster.

More Benefits

1. Enhances Cellular Repair & Regeneration

  • Red light stimulates the expression of genes involved in healing.

  • Helps repair damaged tissues, tendons, skin, and even nerves.

2. Supports Detoxification

  • Infrared heat helps you sweat out toxins stored in fat and skin, such as heavy metals, pesticides, and environmental chemicals.

  • Supports lymphatic flow and natural detox processes.

3. Reduces Stress & Improves Mood

  • Red light enhances serotonin and dopamine production.

  • Saunas stimulate endorphin release and activate the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) nervous system.

4. Reduces Chronic Inflammation

  • Both therapies downregulate inflammatory cytokines.

  • Inflammation is at the root of many chronic diseases, so lowering it improves overall resilience.

5. Improves Circulation & Heart Health

  • Saunas mimic moderate cardiovascular exercise by raising heart rate.

  • Improves blood flow, lowers blood pressure, and supports endothelial function.

6. Enhances Skin Health & Collagen Production

  • Red light stimulates fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin.

  • Sauna opens pores and helps clear out impurities.

7. Supports Hormonal Balance

  • Support thyroid function and testosterone levels.

  • Saunas can also improve insulin sensitivity and metabolic health.

8. Improves Sleep Quality

  • Regular use may regulate circadian rhythms and support melatonin production.

  • Helps the body wind down by reducing cortisol and promoting deep relaxation.

A More In-Depth Look at Light & Water

If health feels confusing or out of reach—you’re not alone.

Like many others, we’ve spent years diving into health podcasts, chasing the latest trends, and trying to find the “right” formula for wellness and longevity.

But what if the answer is far simpler than we imagined?

What if real health doesn’t come from hacks or extremes, but from returning to the natural principles that have always guided life on this planet?

No other animal questions how to live a healthy life. They don’t track macros or count steps. They simply live in tune with nature—grounded, connected, and present.

We believe humans are meant to live this way too. By following a few simple principles, we can restore optimal health—without information overload or breaking the bank.

“The closer we get to truth the simpler it gets”

What if water and infrared light is the real key to energy and vitality?

The human body is about two-thirds water but even more remarkably, 99% of its molecules are water. Yet for decades, science has treated this water as inert—as if it just "fills space."

But what if that water is doing something far more powerful?

Dr. Gerald Pollack’s groundbreaking research reveals that the water in our cells isn’t ordinary bulk water. It’s highly structured and carries a negative charge.

This structured water, also known as exclusion zone (EZ) water, stores electrical potential and is charged by infrared light, acting like a cellular battery that helps power our cells. In addition, red light also boosts ATP production, meaning light enhances our energy and healing capacity in two key ways: by structuring the water in our cells and by increasing ATP production.

It helps explain why thousands of studies highlight the benefits of red and near-infrared light—it supports the body at its most fundamental level: energy. The result is faster healing, reduced inflammation, improved circulation, healthier skin, better mood and improved sleep!

Emerging research is also helping us understand why our health is declining at such an alarming rate. We're spending more time on screens and less time outdoors, disconnected from the natural elements our bodies rely on. Environmental toxins and chemicals in our food further damage mitochondrial function and interfere with the formation of Exclusion Zone (EZ) water in our cells.

We don’t have to be victims of our circumstances. True healing begins when we reconnect with the elements and restore the body’s natural ability to generate and sustain energy. With this understanding, we can start making better, more empowered choices.

At Redox, our approach is grounded in the body’s innate ability to heal—unlocked through reconnection with the natural elements.

When we understand what supports cellular energy production—and what disrupts it—we become empowered to make daily choices that lead to a happier, healthier, and more vibrant life.

Step 1: Soak Up Infrared Light (Especially First Thing in the Morning)

Infrared light is a primary driver of structured (EZ) water formation. Aim to get natural sunlight throughout the day but especially in the morning, as morning light helps synchronize your circadian rhythm and prepares your skin to receive UV light later in the day.

Step 2: Ground Yourself in Nature

The earth is full of free electrons that charge your body and support EZ water production. Walking barefoot, spending time in forests, or being near rivers—rich in negative ions—further enhances cellular hydration and energy.

Step 3: Drink Clean, Living Water

Prioritize pure, high-quality water that’s free from contaminants like chlorine and fluoride, which can interfere with the body’s ability to build structured water. Consider collecting spring water, using a delivery service like Monashee, or installing a filter that effectively removes harmful substances.

Step 4: Eat Clean, Glyphosate-Free Food

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup—is found in many conventionally grown foods and breaks down the structured water in the body. Choose simple, organic foods whenever possible, eat less (especially in the summer) and rely more on the sunlight for energy. Consuming healthy fats like tallow, olive oil, ghee are also excellent fuel sources that are easily converted into EZ water.

Step 5: Support Mitochondrial Health

Your mitochondria emit infrared light from within, helping to build EZ water at the cellular level. We can support them further with infrared sauna, red light therapy, cold exposure, and breathwork—all of which enhance your internal energy production and water structuring capacity.

When we plunge into cold water our cells release infrared light (heat) structuring the water from the inside!

Although simple in theory, these things may not always to be easy to practice. That’s why we offer classes where you can connect with a community, ask questions and build a consistent practice!
